Music, Minor

The Music Minor will consist of any six courses in Music. The Music Department offers classes in many areas and at many levels that are broadly organized around the sub-disciplines of Musicology, Ethnomusicology, Music Theory, Composition, and Performance. While students may simply follow their interests intuitively through six or more music classes, they may also design a minor in order to pursue a concentrated interest, such as electronic composition, the music of Africa, the history of opera, or an interdisciplinary approach to performance, just to name a few of many possibilities.
