Health Care Innovation, MHCI

Through high-quality, engaging online education, the University of Pennsylvania's Master of Health Care Innovation (MHCI) forges a community of innovative thinkers and leaders and prepares them to improve health care. This online degree program is led by world-renowned faculty from across Penn, with experience in behavioral economics, equity initiatives, innovation methods, process improvement, and policy reform, among other areas. MHCI students are working professionals with diverse backgrounds in health care and related fields. Courses are primarily asynchronous with weekly deadlines.

Curriculum

Students in the Master of Health Care Innovation are required to complete 11 course units of coursework and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to remain in good academic standing with the program.

Health Care Innovation Seminar Attendance

The in-person MHCI Seminar is held annually in August. Students on the 2-year track are required to attend 2 Seminars, and students on the 3-year track are required to attend 3 Seminars. At Seminar, students attend faculty lectures, orientation sessions, interactive workshops, & networking events.
