Global Higher Education Management, MSEd

The Global Higher Education Management, MSEd program is not currently accepting students.

GSE is no longer accepting new students into this program.

Geared toward higher education administrators and academic leaders form universities around the world, this online Master's degree will connect participants to a global network and provide them with the knowledge and skills to lead their universities in to the global future. Universities operate in a confluence of local and international social, economic, and political imperatives and they need outstanding leadership, well-prepared to navigate the challenges and create innovative opportunities. GSE offers an innovative executive degree program for individuals to learn with and from global higher education leaders that intentionally situates university administration in a messy, complex global context and one that leverages the best of online learning to engage students across time and distance.

The degree and major requirements displayed are intended as a guide for students entering in the Fall of 2026 and later. Students should consult with their academic program regarding final certifications and requirements for graduation.

Curriculum

This program follows a 10 CU model. These credits would be earned over the course of four semesters beginning in the summer, which would allow students to complete the program in one year of continuous enrollment.  The courses are structured in an executive format of modules with each module equating to one-third of a CU (.33). The content will be delivered through a mix of synchronous and asynchronous delivery.

The program includes the equivalent of 9 CUs of instruction and one CU of a capstone project. The Addressing Pressing Problems of Practice course provides the foundation leading to the Capstone project.
